There were times that Dana wondered why she even used eBay. Some days it seemed like she encountered more problems than successes. She knew the eBay support email address by heart. That in itself was a bit troubling. If it was not for the fact that she had made a considerable amount of money selling things on eBay; she would stop using it all together. She had actually talked to her husband about this. He told her to do whatever she thought was best. He would help her set up her own site to sell her crafts if that is what she preferred. As a programmer, he could do so easily. Dana was not sure she wanted to do this. If she had her own site, she would have hosting and advertising fees. She would have to deal with the credit card processing, although she was sure she could still use paypal. The stress level would still be there, just for different reasons. On the days eBay was working correctly, she loved it. She had established a name for herself as one of the top craft sellers on the site. Her customers knew where to find her. If she started her own site, she might lose some of these customers. Even a few months with no sales would be a huge problem. That is why she continued to put up with eBay. Despite its problems, she felt “safe” there.
